Dr. Kamal Pathak, MD completed his undergraduate and graduate work at George Washington & Georgetown University, respectively. He went on to earn his MD from the Medical College of Virgnia, completed his residency in psychiatry at the University of Miami, and began fellowship training in forensic psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He’s had a diverse background from majoring in philosophy, to being an elementary school teacher in underprivileged neighborhoods, lobbying Congress for health rights, to holding several teaching positions through his academic career that help him to understand the diversity of backgrounds that his patients may have. He is board certified in Adult Psychiatry and has successfully treated patients with clinical depression, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, schizophrenia, drug dependence, to name just a few. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and holds medical licenses in Florida and California. Dr. Pathak will be seeing patients remotely at Nugent Family Counseling Center and is eager to help you achieve your path back to wellness.
