Rachel's passion is to meet each client where they are in their life struggle, self, relationships, work, career, and guide them through the process of self-actualization to achieve independence so that they can return to their full functioning.
Rachel uses a tailored therapeutic approach and utilizes evidence-based approaches (CBT, DBT, ACT) that addresses specific problem areas - cognitive distortion, distress tolerance, and behaviors that prohibit people from moving forward in their lives, achieving positive and fulfilling outcomes, and ultimately improve functioning and imbalance.
Dr. Connett works at our San Jose and Santa Clara locations and currently sees clients in the office and through Teletherapy.
Rachel works with adolescents and adults, that have challenges with anxiety, depression, stress management, career changes, substance abuse, addiction, and life transitions.
Rachel has experience working with individuals in out-patient practice settings and in-patient residential substance abuse settings as they stabilize and transition back to their functioning environments.
Dr. Connett is a professional member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), the Santa Clara Valley California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (SV-CAMFT), and the California Association for Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (CALPCC). Rachel continues to stay current in mental health issues by attending local conferences, keeping up with current therapy research, and collaboration with other mental health clinicians.
Dr. Connett is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist 126234, and a Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor # 5882. Rachel received her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with an Emphasis in Professional Clinical Counseling from Touro University, located in Los Alamitos, California, and a Master of Science Degree in Health Sciences in Health Services Administration from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. Rachel also holds a doctorate degree in Health Sciences from Walden University where she focused her dissertation on Adjunct Screening Methods to Conventional Mammography for Cancer in Dense Breast Tissue.
