David Brewster is a Registered Behavioral Technician, Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician, and Neurofeedback Technician.

David has been working in the Mental Health/Behavioral Health field since 2018, with volunteer experience dating back to 2012. He has worked as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor, Homeless Intervention Specialist, Direct Support Professional, Registered Behavioral Technician, and Neurofeedback Technician.

David attended UCSB, where he studied Sociology and Political Philosophy. David studied Psychology at Sonoma State University. David continued his education to specialize in Addiction Treatment at San Diego City College, one of the best addiction programs in the country.

David was certified by the County of Santa Cruz to be an Integrated Motivational Interviewing trainer in 2021. Integrated Motivational Interviewing combines the approaches of Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, and Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment.

David is passionate about utilizing proven evidence-based practices and dedicated to staying on top of all leading research and continuing education. He has been trained in a variety of Evidence-Based Practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Relapse Prevention, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Trauma Informed Care. David utilizes the treatment approaches of Whole Person Care and Harm Reduction to meet individuals where they are at and support each person in building self-efficacy and confidence to change.

David has an active RBT certification from the BACB, RBT-23-254644, and is supervised by Amanda Nwosu, BCBA #1-11-8466.
