Nathan Valentine is a Clinical Professional Counselor Intern and our lead Neurofeedback technician in Reno with nearly a decade of experience working with children, teens, and families. Through his work in the public mental health field, Nathan brings a comprehensive range of best practices with an individualized approach to therapy that emphasizes client strengths and takes into account a client’s whole being.

Nathan’s subject matter facilitations address Life balance, Symptom Reduction, Family Communication, and strengths of individual clients. His approach engages and builds self-awareness, self-examination, and challenges established narratives with the goal of giving clients the tools and idea that Change is Possible and they can improve the quality of their life. As a result, Nathan often employs CBT and DBT tools and principles while exploring narratives and motives that each individual holds.

Prior to private practice, Nathan worked in nonprofit mental health as a counselor and therapist for at-risk and adjudicated youth as a registered behavioral technician serving individuals and families with autism and related disorders.  He offers a wide range of tools and perspectives that break down the difficult life experiences or past choices,  that have held somebody back, so they can move forward with practical skills, problem-solving, and hopeful motivation into new possibilities and wisdom to grow and make positive changes.  Nathan is supervised by Nancy Lindler, LMFT #975.

Nathan is currently accepting clients at our Reno office, either in person or via teletherapy. Please call or book an appointment today.
